Medieval silver gilt signet finger ring. Circa 14th-15th century CE. 13.9g, 25mm; UK ring size M. An impressive heavy ring, possibly of German manufacture formed with cast decoration. The band is detailed with a stylised twist of three strands that open out to form the shoulders that frame the octagonal bezel. The bezel is engraved with a hunting horn and a black letter inscription. The inscription is, as yet untraslated. Property of a London retailer.
